Care

These instructions come from how embroidery and heavy cotton behave. The sewn-in label is the last word: follow it if it says something else.

A close crop of the Burgundy hoodie from behind, one arm raised to hold a lamppost, the balloon sleeve falling into folds. The rose and the LOOMÉ stitching are sharp, the stone balcony behind is not.
PLATE 01 Burgundy, a lamppost, Paris.

Washing

Wash cold, inside out, on a gentle cycle. Turning it inside out keeps the rose off the drum.

Drying

Do not tumble dry. Dry flat, away from direct sun. A wet hoodie at this weight is heavy, and hanging it will pull the shoulders long.

Ironing

Keep the iron off the embroidery. If the body needs pressing, work on the inside, on low heat, and go around the rose.

Storage

Fold it, do not hang it. Folded flat, the rib keeps its shape and the shoulders keep their line.

Snags: a pulled thread is not a hole. Do not cut it. Write to us with a photograph and we will tell you what to do next.
