Who is responsible

The seller named in the legal notice is responsible for the data described here, and that page carries the name, the postal address and the inbox to write to.

What we store

If you order, Stripe collects your name, delivery address, email address and payment details on its own pages, and we read them there to send the parcel and to handle a return. Our own database keeps only the order number, what you bought, the language you ordered in and whether the payment settled. If you ask to be told when a size is back, we keep your email address for up to 90 days for that one message.

Why we may hold it

We hold the order because we need it to do what you paid for, and we keep the accounting side of it because tax law requires it. We hold a waitlist address because you asked us to, and you can take that back at any time. In the words of the GDPR, that is Article 6(1)(b), Article 6(1)(c) and Article 6(1)(a).

Payment

Payment is handled by Stripe on their own pages. Your card number never reaches this site and we never see it.

Who else sees it

Two companies, and nobody else. Stripe takes the payment and holds the name, address and email address that go with it. Cloudflare hosts this site and its database, and sees the requests your browser makes. Both are headquartered in the United States, so your data can be handled outside the European Union. We sell no data, and we pass nothing on for advertising.

How long

An order record stays in our database until it is deleted by hand. There is no automatic deletion, and the accounting record of a sale has to be kept for as long as tax law requires. A waitlist email address is different: it is deleted automatically after 90 days. Ask us, and we delete what the law does not oblige us to keep.

Automated decisions

Nothing on this site profiles you and nothing here makes an automated decision about you. Stripe runs its own automated checks on a payment to prevent fraud, on its own pages, and can refuse one.

Your rights

You can ask to see what we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to have its use restricted, to object to it, and to get a copy in a portable file. Where we hold something because you consented, you can take that consent back at any time, and what was done before stays lawful. We answer within one month.

Seller details are added before launch.

If you want to complain

You can complain to a data protection supervisory authority. For this site that is the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, and you can also go to the authority where you live or work.
