The work
A red rose on a long stem, embroidered on the back. 73,525 stitches, 164.6 by 305.2 millimetres, six thread colours. LOOMÉ is stitched under the stem in small capitals.
Machine embroidered from a digitised file, per the production sheet of 21 December 2024. The sheet counts 73,525 stitches; the file draws 73,200 stitch-to-stitch moves, and does not draw the ties.
Wash, abrasion and colourfastness tests are not done, and nobody has reviewed this hoodie yet. Both land on this page when they exist, whatever they say.

The making
The form
Very oversized. Dropped shoulders, balloon sleeves, a wide body, then a tight rib at the waist and the wrists that pulls all of that volume back in.
No kangaroo pouch. No drawcord. The front is one clean face of cloth.
The hood is double layer, so it stands up on its own instead of collapsing at the neck. The body is a single layer of the same cloth.
The material
100% cotton at 600 gsm. Heavy enough to hold a shape, dense enough to carry the stitch without puckering.
The origin
Drawn and digitised in Europe, made in Guangzhou, photographed in Paris. Run from Berlin by one person.

The care
- Washing
- Wash cold, inside out, on a gentle cycle. Turning it inside out keeps the rose off the drum.
- Drying
- Do not tumble dry. Dry flat, away from direct sun. A wet hoodie at this weight is heavy, and hanging it will pull the shoulders long.
- Ironing
- Keep the iron off the embroidery. If the body needs pressing, work on the inside, on low heat, and go around the rose.
- Storage
- Fold it, do not hang it. Folded flat, the rib keeps its shape and the shoulders keep their line.
